Sage??? I never thought of it. How much do you use? My wife accuses me of using to much seasonings on things like this. |
My personal opinion of the amount of sage after trying B&G for the first time in Oregon ... you cannot put too much sage in the gravy.
Some say you only need a teaspoon for a entire thanksgiving turkey, but I put a large heaping full tablespoon in the gravy, for 4 servings.

Hey Vince, just got off duty since my last post. We're truely sorry here at the Hoffman house to hear of yet another loved one passing. I know, it's hard and there is nothing short of prayer that'll make it better. Our most sincere and heart felt condolences to you and yours

Vince .....Forgot to tell ya what a kick I got out of your Biscuits-N-Gravy, food for the Gods, musta ate 6 biscuits and on and on. A girlfriend of mine had a date with a guy that came home with biscuits-N-gravy, she swore he got it from a local gas station and wanted to beat the gavy outa him. But guess what, they're now married. HHmmmmm...works wonders? Snickerdoodles are wonderful with fresh milk, lots of cream on top for dipping. I've gotten rolling-on-the-floor sick that way. I'll have to send you some family recipes, we have some interesting blood contortions in our family, everything from Native American to Polish, which makes for some very rich eating.

We are working 11 to 12 hrs a day 5 days a week and when home (weekends) I don't spend much time on the computer (yard work and trying to tune my Motorcycle that has sat for 5 years without running). We had such a cold April, May and June that we are so far behind that we may not get all the roads painted before freeze up (Dec). So we are working as many hrs as we are allowed to try to get things done. Here's an example. We painted 231 kilometers of road today (all three lines) in 11 hrs at 24 kilometers/hr. That includes loading time and the time it took to drive 130 kilometers to where we had to start and back. As you can tell we took very few breaks.
