It wouldn't hurt to try. Run a 380 case into the die to pop the primer out. If it sizes the mouth enough to hold a bullet securely, it should work just fine. There should be no problem seating bullets with your 9mm seater die.

I know they sell two different sizing dies for .380 and 9mm. Case dimensions are a bit different. I saw that Hornady seating die could be used for both. I'd get a .380 sizing die and use the seating die that you already have.

The 9mm is a tapered case the 380 is a straight wall case, the base diameters also differ which requires the use of a different shell holder.

The answer is no!!!

As far as using your seating die, unless it’s a Hornady I wouldn’t recommend it.
Hornady incorporates a universal design in a lot of their seating dies (rifle and pistol) that isn’t completely case specific that works with a group of cases. (I believe Lee also does this with certain cartridges)
Other manufactures use a more case specific design that supports the entire body of the case while seating bullets.

Lee carbide 3 die set is about $25.00 from Midway !!! Look around, you might be able to find a used set even cheaper !!!
