Sorry never been treed by any thing but hogs and a skunk or two. Sounds like you need some friends to set up a defensive line! Some body's bound to get some shooting.

Spotlights are used and accepted for coon and coyote hunting.

Hm....ok...no spotlights...what about area lighting...light up as large an area as possible. How about using Night Vision Sights...are you allowed to shoot at night at all?

Another option is to try and identify the most used access point and put up some mesh to channel the critters into a holding area utilizing a one way gate. Easy to deal with them in the morning then.

I would certainly find a way to cull them...all you need consider is whether or not you want to give them a sporting chance or just get the job (cull) done asap.

No night shooting allowed Vince!!! (sun up to sun down only)
The deer have definitely managed to keep this thing on sporting terms which is alright with me.
I am truly enjoying the hunt and gaining a new perspective and knowledge in long range deer hunting.
What’s funny about the whole thing is the fact that I groundhog hunt on this same farm and have taken a number of them well past 400 yards with head shots.
The longest (center hit)at 525 yards/steps (give or take a few steps) I find myself debating the use of my varmint rig and head shooting these deer.

Well mate....sounds like, if nothing else, you are enjoying the experience and the challenge.

That's what hunting is all about mate. Wish I was there to assist and learn along with ya.

you could always empty about 100 chem lights into a milk jug......tie it about 10 feet above the ground......spread out some apple and grain below.....wait for a few of them to gather below and then shoot the jug splattering all of them with magic chem light... a couple hours later when it starts to darken....... Sorry, dad was a science teacher and I am all about the experiment.

Sounds like they have your number, not only are they getting free food, but it sounds as if they are using the darkness to their advantage.....going to have to build a clover and hay ghilli suit and wait for them to come and take a nibble......

ROFL Why didn’t I think of that !!!

Yea!!! We’re having a lot of fun and laughs with it.
We’ve joked about hay bale forts in the middle of the bean field or even a pit dug about 4-41/2 feet deep to hide in.

The deer around here aren't afraid of tractors, walking behind a tractor as it moves could be a great cover to get closer.

Tractors don’t really seem to bother them but they will usually head back into the woods once you get about 300 yards out.

It sounds like it's time for the ghilli suit and do some serious belly crawling to see how close you can get, make sure you take the bi pod.

To help you with the tractor thing. You have to remember that the exhaust masks human scent and tractors have never hurt them...

I’ve got a spot picked out next to the corn field that I think is going to work out.
I will be unable to shoot to one of the areas they come out, but they seem to work their way up to were I will be able to take a shot.
I’ve also got some burlap I’ll use to help mask my movement since I won’t have any natural cover other than the cornfield.

The corn should be about high enough to hide your movements. Good luck and be sneaky.

Yes the corn is high enough but I have a tendency to get fidgety when sitting for a long time.
