I'm familiar with the p-13, p-14, p-17 family of rifles and have even heard that the p-13's approached the modern 7mags in performance, But in my entire library I can't come up with a single drawing w deminsions for the .276 Enfield. This ones's for Dimitri, but I thought I'd put it up for everyone to see if they were as curious as I after his leading comment in the new project thread. Or if someone else has a sketch I'd love it if they posted it here.

There are pictures and ballistics tables in "Cartridges of the World, 7th Edition" for the .276 Enfield. It was developed in 1909 and is similar to the Canadian .280 Ross. The bullet diameter was .282" and bullets ranged in weight from 144 to 190 grains. The load listed is a 165 grain bullet at 2,800 f.p.s. with a muzzle energy of 2,881 ft. lbs. There are no dimensions of the cartridge. Hope this helps. All the best...
Gil

It probably should be but my mind craves numbers. I have the 3rd Edition and the 11th Edition and unless I missed something it is not in either of those. Thanks anyway Gil

CH/4D sells both the reloading Dies and the Forming dies, they have 4 or so sets made up incase anyone is interested. Till I find a suitable Ross Rifle I wont buy them however.

CH/4D was kind enough to provide me of a dimensional drawing based on a round that they examined all credit goes to them and Bill K who had the round checked and dies produced.
