Met the missus when I was 21, dated, as you guys call it, until the day we got married (we didn't live together) when I was 23...been married now for 34 years come 23 Aug this year.

Wouldn't change it for all the tea in China and India combined.

Cheers, Vince

I only knew my wife for 3 months when we got married, I had orders to transfer back to the states and didn't figure I would find her again. 2 weeks after we were married I found out I was to deploy to Iraq. We married 27 Oct and I shipped out on Dec 25th, Merry Xmas. She's been standing by me for 19 years now.

They say the first 6 months of you marriage are the worst, but I doubt whoever said that was referring to being in combat. The honeymoon began when I got back!!!! Yea, the twins were a short 9 months later!

Priest over there made you put the wedding rings on the right hand instead of the left hand?

I believe the Germans do it that way just as the Greeks do thats why I ask.

It was hard for me to get used to wearing my ring on my right hand. when we moved back to the states we had to switch to the left because no one could understand a wedding ring on the right.

Yah, Greeks wear it on the right hand, I doubt I'd be wearing it on the right hand when I do eventually find a girl to marry though.

If you plan on kid don't wait to long, you'll want to get them out of the house while you are still young enough to enjoy the grand kids and yourself.
