Went to one here in NJ. This is the first time I've gone in support of any protest. Didn't know I was a right wing, extremist. I just thought I was tired of being taxed to death. Heard at the rally that the total tax bill for average person in NJ is at 52%!!!!! Funny thing is they don't think we are paying too much in taxes.

Watch out Government!! High taxes and gun confiscation was what lead us to being USA and not the colonies. And hey - I would pack a good M-1 or M-14 in wartime not a wimpy .223 .

Yeah, I checked out Goggle under my most common sign on, Wow, I am for sure on some list.
Think I might change my sign on at some sites.
Couldn't get to the party, but sent several tea bags to everyone concerned in the Government.
I think citizens should have free postage to Government addresses, this is getting expensive.

Back when the USA was still the Colonies, the British paced very high taxes on all sorts of goods imported from England. One item that the taxes were exceptionally burdensome was the tea tax. I have also heard that the Brits were trying to take the Colonists guns away too, but I believe that was at a later date.
So anyway a group of soon to be patriots dressed up as Indians and dumped a bunch of tea into the Boston Harbor. This the original Boston Tea Party, and one of the things that lead to the American Revolution.

The "Tea Party" is being used to convey a message (public demonstration with placards and signs) to the politicians that we have had enough. A lot of us (not enough yet) are starting a Grass Roots movement.
And it's not about just taxes this time. It's spending, 2nd Amendment, illegal immigration, health care and many other obama and liberal ideas. We've had enough and we are going to be heard. Even democrats are joining us on this...
