I hate to tell you but the march & protests were primarily about the banning of hunting with dogs.
It'd a clever piece of propaganda built on a false premise: that the citizens of the UK care about being disarmed.

Most don't.

I am not trying to be argumentative, but it seemed to me there was good coverage for hunting fox with hounds, as well as the laws that required all Brits, (I hope that Brits is not an offensive term, if so SORRY) to turn in their handguns, as well as the disparity of the laws providing more protection for the criminal then the victim. wtf

I thought it covered all items, preciesly within the short time provided.

You say most Brits do not really care, but a friend of mine in Southampton says otherwise.

My guess is the majority of Brits have never even seen a firearm in real life, never mind handled one.
Their perceptions come from what the Media feeds them, which is a steady diet of horror stories & inaccurate guff.

A couple of years ago, the BBC produced a "firearms glossary" that was so full of inaccuracies & utter falsehoods that I spent some time correcting it & sent them a copy.
Even then & with the help of a curator from the Royal Armouries museum, they messed things up.

We'll never return to a time when having a firearm for self defence is allowed, though when - not if - society falls apart, things will change.
Oddly enough, those who DO have firearms at that time will be in a stronger position than US citizens, because so few of the "bad guys" will be armed.
