Don't get me wrong I first learned how to use a computer on a PowerPC Performa with a CD-ROM drive and a 500mb Hard drive.

Hey 'Mitri....I cut my teeth on a Commodore 64 mate. I was going to upgrade to a Commodore 128 but couldn't afford it.

My next 'puter was a Datastar 386/8 (with Turbo up to 25), 80MB HDD, 2MB of RAM and a COLOUR dot matrix printer.....really state of the art.

Anywayz, back on topic. Dallan, you get PB 2.0 out when you are good and ready. Don't neglect your hunting duties just for us whingers mate.

Cheers, Vince

Well BYTE ME!!!!! Is this true? Dallan, you really should keep backups. That's a lot of work down the tubes. My heartfelt commiserations.

Not bad. I cut mine on a Radio Shack TRS80 with expansion interface. Don't remember how much memory the thing had but it was something around 128k. What I remember most of that time was how everyone was so ga ga over 600baud dialup. Do you remember those cradles you stuck the phone in??? What pioneers we were. How many BBS's did you belong to? I later went to a Packard Bell desktop with 200mb HDD.

Yup Dirty Harry...I worked with the ones that you put the telephone receiver in a cradle and computed on a type writter that was attached to a big black box when I was in the US Navy. I believe that was around 1970- 72. I entered data for my ship as Engineer. I think it was attached or connected to SIMA in San Diego. I was stationed in Seattle at the time...Other then that I really don't remember much about it...

Well shiver me timbers thar shipmate!! I retired from the navy in 1993 after 26 years. I sure did love it and I sure do miss it. Spent the majority of my career on the east coast and in the med.

In 1978 I got my first TRS-80 model I, 16K ram updated to level II a year later. Then I got the expansion interface, two floppy drives and TRSDOS.
Programming was easy in BASIC and I made my first reloading / ballistics software with it.
Next upgrade was a 286 monster PC, then a Giant case 386 with four floppies, two hardrives and a removable media drive all with SCSI.
Man, I miss the DOS days................
Enough of this memory lane crap!
Dallan, is there anything we (I) can do to help? is there any progress?

What new features do you all think the 2.0 version might include? I love the current version and have some ideas but I am sure everyone does.

Well...Welcome to this fine site...You DID pull a stump and grab a beer didn't you?

About the only way you will know if your ideas are good or ging to be used is to voice them here and see what Mr. Dallan has to say...

Its a complete re-write with a new custom UI that is scaleable in size, has some re-organization to make things easier to use. The data is also reorganized into a much easier format. New features include metric / SAE support, angle calculations and a few other misc things.

If I remember correctly I saw somewhere that in version 2.0 loads would be listed under a particular firearm? I think that's a good idea. I would like to see an easy way to copy a load from one gun to another, just to save time when transferring info. Since I also load for handguns it would be nice if the minimum distance for trajectory could be less than 50 yards. However, I can live with 50!
