I took my first deer with a handgun today. A S&W 629 44 magnum with a red dot. I will try to get a photo later but I was pleased with the 240 JSP performance. The 150 # Pope county 4 pointer ran about 70 yards after a 30 yard lung shot. I was pleased he ran toward the truck too!! My nephew got an 8 point a couple of hours earlier at the same stand. A good day in the woods!

Then nephew got the bigger buck this time. Not as big as his 10 point last year but still a nice 8 point. Mine had a nice body but was a 4 pointer.

With a handgun...Kinda makes your chest stick out a bit more when you pull them down using a handgun...Probably not as much as with a bow, but almost as good...Congrats. To the both of you...

I think I got the hang of it! I took a doe with the 44 this morning! Freezer is full now!
