why dont you just move out of the Coyotes' home if you dont like them?
they were there first, thats where God made them.
not their fault for the encroachment of your developments. they do keep the rodents down though.

Sorry but;
There are roaches in Montana, I have two customers from Montana.

The Coyote is spreading into areas where they have never been before and up to this time were not and are not a native species.

The coyote, as is the wild hog or boar, population is growing because of their ability to adapt to and thrive off their surroundings and are in fact thriving by living next to their human neighbor. Florida like many states never had coyotes until recent years. Now like the wild hog they are becoming real pests. Every deer hunting spot I hunt, I have standing orders from the land ownder, you see, you shoot, either species.

Aside from the fact that they're increasing in numbers in areas where there were no coyotes before. They are also killing our game like turkeys, rabbits and even deer.

I happened to hear a lady in Wal-Mart saying that a nieghbor of hers let her little kids play out back in a fenced area and 2 coyote tried to get over the fence after the kids and would have succeeded if not for thier father going out with a gun to scare them off. Time to eliminate the threat.

First school me and home me are 2 different people. And hay I just got my credintials cleared this morning so it's no longer an if it's an I'm out of work teacher insearch of letters of rec. And ask my kids about how nice I am I think I told them they didn't have their papers because every time I thought about how they were acting I got pissed off and wanted to fail them all. Still have to grade papers from the weekend.

Have you tried making friends with them?, you know feed them something that is really bad for their health. Poison the buggers, no neighbours cat's and dogs about to take it, it's quiet to use, and completely anonymous, that might be spelt wrong

Hm, now there's a thought. Well done John.

Start feeding them on a woollen blanket on your back lawn. Gradually put more and more water on it till it is saturated. Attach a power lead to one corner then when they are all on there chomping...FLICK THE SWITCH.

ZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTT ....problem solved.

I'm not a fan of laying poison baits. They are indisciminate and target everything...kids, dogs, cats, birds....everything. Also, depending on the poison, a residual 2 oz bait can easily become a 25lb bait after it has killed an animal.

tracker is right, there is a bylaw that you can not shoot bows etc in city limits including a sling shot. By the way, there are no trees in southern Sask. Well..... maybe a dozen and 6 of them are in my yard....

Humm so posion or lanching "projectiles" is out, guess trapping them is the only way then.

The only thing I approve of poisoning is grey (urban) rats, I hate those b*s*ards. With trapping, one will have to be very cautious and discreet as well. Can't have Lassie or Timmy stepping into a snare or a Konibear. Warn the neighbors for their kids and pets sake, tell the City Fathers 9or Mothers I suppose) nothing.

I don't like posion myself for anything, too many possible "side effects", but with trapping I'm talking about "live" cage type traps, so kids and other animals wont get hurt in the removal of the coyotes.

must be my background from being up north. I never even thought of those, probably a good idea, then through a blanket over the cage, load them up in a truck and take them out of town....I don't know...22-250, 223, 243, give them a running lead...

Coyotes are usually pretty smart when it comes to traps though.
