Vince,
I see that your papers too have no problem including all the gun crowd in their story about a criminal. Obvious they are trying to establish a gun=criminal thought process.

Them bast4rds took my legal guns away and gives them to the crook. Then they have the gall to blame us legal gun owners for the gun violence that ensued from it.
I am not happy...

Every gun owner and sport shooter in the US should read everything they can find about the Australian gun confiscation and worse, the prosecution of gun owners after, for the slightest infraction.
What many in the US think are "no harm" regulations or regulations that will be administered with common sense, are illustrated in Australia to be Draconian when applied with zeal and with a purpose of disarming the populace.
Example: 1) An arms dealer lost his business, home and 3 million dollars US in inventory because he had a WWII Model 98K on display, in a glass case, with a WWII German training, dummy, rifle grenade. The law in his area says grenade and the courts interpreted the law to mean any grenade, even an inert dummy. The man and his family were villified in the papers as arms dealers posessing illegal arms. 2) A man lost his gun collection, home, reloading equipment and was bankrupted trying to defend himself after his 5 year old son took a 22 LR round to school to show his buddies. 3) A high school student was dragged from his car and beaten by the police when they saw a weapon in his car, a set of children's toy numchucks hanging from his rear view mirror. The examples go on and on, with the pro gun political party's three leaders being framed and thrown into prision, later exonorated by an appeals court, but broken, etc.
There is no common sense, there is only a legal establishment hell bent to disarm the people by any means, legal or otherwise.
In the article there is a reference to dummies and or non-guns as a "can you believe this" item. The idiot reporter does not understand that he is next, once the government decides they do not like what the paper has to say.
If anyone ever tells you, "this is a reasonable law, you should be in favor of it" just imagine the law being applied by the worst anti-gun folks with the sole purpose of disarming you, period.
We have a tough fight comming in this country in the next few years and we best be up to the fight or we will experiance what the shooters of Australia are going through.
