You got it. Just trying to help. And yes. I only load 5 in my ol' Colt even though it has a safety notch cut in the hammer. Hence the distintive 4 clicks that is the Colt SAA. 1. Safety. 2. Half cock. 3. Bolt striking the cylinder. 4. Full cock. The safety is not considered safe enough to use. And I can vouch for that...

Same here 1895ss.....although I am not at all sure that we even had it in the first place.
Its getting to the point in some places in Australia that the "grubs" carry weapons but the law abiding citizen isn't allowed to and is unable to defend themselves.....even carrying a knife can get you into more trouble than Speed Gordon!! In the vast majority of cases the Police cannot help....they are a reactive as opposed to a pro-active organisation...."Call us when they do something to you" !!!! Bit hard when you have a third eye !!!!
I won't go into the ethnic groups that are the worst for "carrying"....but suffice to say they have a very low opinion of life and the welfare of others.
Cheers, Vince |
I was talking to a guy who is home on leave from the army, he is baced in England and was telling me that any locked blade knife is outlawed now. It starts with guns and never stops. Glad to be in the USA.

Hi all I'm new here, kind of feeling my way around. When I took my CCW class almost 10years ago the instructor made two true statements. one was, carry what you know and number two was I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Simple words to live by.

Welcome aboard Shipster, I agree with Vince, you gotta question...ask, got something to offer, let er rip.
And for Vince and the rest of you who live where you can't carry concealed legally (includes some states), I feel for you. We would all like to live in a world where fear of others isn't a concern. But, God gave us free will. As a result, some choose to do harm to others. It's nice to know even the weakest can stand up to those who would want to harm others for whatever reason. Still we have to be on guard as we still have minority groups that want us to give up our arms. I wish more laws would be passed giving us the right to protect ourselves. It's ironic that the criminal element still has more rights than the law abiding citizen.
And who says us old folks can't handle the 45's? Shame on you. If I could conceal my S&W 460, that's what I would carry. I'm better with it than any other handgun I own.
Keep it coming...

I've had a CCW since Florida revamped the law in 1987. I carry a Kel-Tec P32 or a Kahr K9, depending on the weather and what I'm wearing. Both are carried IWB in FIST kydex holsters.
I've had to present a gun once when 2 miscreants thought to try to mug me when I left a post office one night. The sight of a 6' dude with a gun changed their minds.
Fo rall those who live in jurisdictions that forbid CCW, an old saw applies: "Better to judged by 12, than carried by 6."
Incidentally, this is a pretty nice site. Glad I found it.

fb41...May I be the first to welcome you to the site. We share lots of information and have a little bit of fun here too. Sit a spell, pour a beer and let us know what you are thinking. You might even want to give up some of your hard earned knowledge. (Watch out for that Vince though...He'll get you in trouble)
