For many years I have wanted a flintlock fowling piece to go with my T/C New Englander 12 gauge percussion shotgun. Well I found an unfired (and discontinued) T/C Pennsylvania Hunter .50 flintlock. My gunsmith assures me that he can ream it out to become a 28 gauge (.56 cal.) and perhaps even a 20 gauge (.62). I just want a flintlock that shoots shot loads. My brother has a T/C smoothbore barrel that was made for use in the Massachusetts muzzleloading season that might fit. This is my summer project. All the best...

I would be *very* interested to hear how this goes along with costs. I have an old .50cal hawkins barrel I've long since wanted to get turned into a smoothbore. I just never found anyone who could do for a reasonable amount of money.
If you decide to do this I want lots of info!!! (I'd bet $100 my brother would do it too with his old .50 cal barrel as well).
