CONTEMPLATION or FOOD FOR THOUGHT

I'm sure many, if not all of us, have little snippets of information or advice that has been passed onto us by someone more experienced in life.....either our Dad, mentor or other respected personage.

How about we post some of these snippets so that we might all benefit from their profound message.

I'll start the ball rolling with the following very philosophical and deep message:

A man that tries to carry a cat home by its tail will learn a lesson that can be learned in no other way.

This bit of advice can be applied to many situations when you think about it.

Some pearls of wisdom from my grandmother.

We were allowed to go out in the hills, on foot or horseback, with one of the .22 rifles. IF we were alone. If one of my cousins was around, we were not allowed anywhere near the guns.

As my gandma always said: " 1 boy has a brain, 2 boys have half a brain, and 3 or more boys have no brain at all"

When asked why she kept a loaded gun in the house, she would reply " You never know when you might need to kill a snake, either the no-legged or the two-legged kind"

Was given a small but massive piece of advice the other day. There are many in the world that would benefit from it:

This saying is about as true as any I've ever heard. Very Happy
