ok....at present we have less than 20 active cases...... had none a week ago but the mismanagement of country in isolation is appalling.
the argument to keep people in forced isolation has merit.....when folks who are asked to do so WONT.....like the folks coming into country who are put up in motels at cost to taxpayer who are climbing out over fence to go walkabout.... FFS I have said from getgo...park all the unused rental vans/camperhomes on airstrip and let military do security and catering...if people wont stay put.shoot them and bury with digger....its not a huge ask.
there is more and more folks now saying just let virus run its course ....Im not one of them.
we cant afford to lock country down for another 6 weeks...the economy wont handle another go...and many small businesses wont survive as it is,let alone stop them trading again..ALTHOUGH we learnt quickly...a table across door of shop and phone order in....pay and collect at door...or pay online and collect better still.
the hospitality sector took huge hit...but it can still operate.... cleverly click n collect take out meal......outside dining..... social distancing is managable if you get smart about how you do it.
oh we can speak up alright....if the red queen/stalinda doesnt cancel election or worse still make it an online affair so all the dropkicks join in.

Everyone does realize that this virus will NEVER go away, right? Your only options are to get vaccinated for it or catch it and get over it. It's like the flu, etc. It will keep circulating around, with slightly different strains.
