Right now you are "younger" than later.
The younger you are, usually the faster your body will heal.

nah Mate you dont need to decide.....think of Nike......JUST DO IT,you will be fine and have us all in fits of laughter while you recover. you could be fit enough before you get too old and really enjoy a bit of quality hunting time when your mobility is back up to scratch.

Aren't you socialized medicine down under? That seem pretty fast.

Slim,
Department of
Veterans
Affairs
They can move very quickly.
As for socialised medicine, well it works here.

TBH, "socialised" healthcare works 95% of the time & only falls down when other crap is involved (like letting millions of non tax paying migrants use it...).
Mum had an operation on her spine a couple of years back, in a privately run facility but all paid for by our taxpayer funded NHS (& rightly so, as she worked & paid in up to age 80...).
Anyway; back to Vince's new, Meccano Set, knee joint...

Well, the Ortho will have the results of the MRI now, and I get to see him at 0845hrs tomorrow morning, at which time I expect he will have worked out a plan of action.
I don't want to do anything before ANZAC Day because I have a couple of commitments, but after that, I should be right to go.
Yeah...our Medicare will soon be suffering from a influx of freeloaders...just like our welfare system already is.
Mate, so long as Mum got the best possible care and her back problem was solved, its all good.

Well Vince, what can be more important than your health. I had a buddy that had his hip replaced last Friday and he was home and walking some on Sunday. Keep us posted.

Vince,
I feel your pain literally.
My right shoulder is fubar again, full thickness tears in 2 tendons and the bicep tendon not siting where it should.
I'm trying to avoid surgery as this will be its 3rd repair since 2003, off to see the ortho is a few weeks and have a word about warranty, he fixed it only 4 years ago.
If it does get done again I'm aiming at August, due to a lot going on between now and then and being unable to drive for 6 weeks and have to wipe my bum with the wrong hand isnt appealing.
I thought the"golden" years were supposed to be enjoyable.....

The "golden anniversary" is the 50th but your golden years don't start until you are "at an advanced age" whatever that means.
To me an advanced age is somewhere past 90 but I would like to think that when my grandfather was dating 3 19 year old girls those were his golden years. He was 85 when he was dating them but didn't make it to 90...
I'm still looking for a way to tell when my golden years start. I'm watching for gold...
