no way it would fit into a .410 mate and putting a scope on it would defeat the purpose of it.....wet weather and close range bush work.

A red dot would work in the wet weather.

She looks good, you using an o-ring pick as an extractor ? Would like to see some of your groups , It takes me four or five fouling shots before they start to group good .
Mounted a Weaver base and a 1.5x4.5 scope on my sons first gun a Steven .410 , it would group on a 9-inch paper plate at 50yds. It was more a sighting devise and I'd take it off for squirrel season.
Something to run your mind.

Barreled inserts always seemed like a good idea until I made one and used it.
How did you solve the problem of the changing point of impact each time the tube was removed and reinserted?

Maybe clock the insert. I have to do this with the brass on my 45-70 rolling block because the breech block isn't truly square with the receiver. This way I don't get brass failures.

so far so good..she has had 11 rounds down the tube and with crude shotgun bead sight we can hit a 4" black of wood at 20 yards...dug some projectiles out of the dirt behind it....10 inches in two that were lower power BP loads are pretty much still intact one you could nearly reuse...the one Bubba had hollow pointed that was travelling at approx 1500fps however is a button mushroom of about 1" diametre.......

Elvis, that should do the trick! Can you use lasers over there? A green laser would really let you thread the needle.

If'n you're hitting a 4" block at 20-yds that's gonna put you in the kill zone.
Would like to hear more about the loads you work-up as you go along.

thats what Im thinking Pete
whenever someone asks how far will such n such rifle be ok to shoot deer out to,I reply the same way...as far as you can COMSISTANTLY hit a 3ltr milk bottle/half sheet of A4 paper/basketball as thats the kill zone size of most deer.
