During hunting season I have six cameras to keep going, seems every year, when winter comes around, the melting snow takes one two out. I made an apparatus to help keep my cameras dry, making covers from plastic milk jugs and other plastic cartons. Cut the plastic container (like the avatar on my profile picture). Since the plastic is another color, use camo paints to conceal better. These covers held up good for season or so, but I wanted something better, so I designed a trailcam cover that was durable and provides excellent protection from the elements. The cover shields sun glare for better photos and keep the driving rain and snow from penetrating the crevices and gasket. I'm getting more life from my cameras and saving money! If you experience the same, let me know and visit trailcamcover.com

The version I designed is lightweight, extremely rugged, the strap slots will not tear, camo paint colors adhere well. You can check it out, trailcamcover.com
Let me know if you like the weather protector.
email trailcamcover @ gmail.com for more information.

I want to share ideas so others can benefit from the trial and error process I lived. Sorry if I have crossed the line on my post. I can delete the threads if needed.

I've had a look at the website you shared with us and I feel that you are genuine and this is not a SPAM posting...you are simply sharing what looks to be a useful product.

On face value it looks like you have developed a product that is useful to all hunters who use trail cameras. I don't know if you aren't happy with the idea of posting a pic of your cover, but it might help allay the fears of a pending SPAM attack.

Please don't take this personally, but we have had some pretty horrendous SPAM attacks from what appear to be asian sources...pages and pages of SPAM...not posted once, but numerous times in the same day.

If your product is everything you claim it to be, then you are onto a winner mate, in which case I'm sure there are guys here who would be interested.

Feel free to share your knowledge and experience that goes along with those 60 years of hunting mate.

As an aside, you will note that we have a SWAP/BUY SELL Forum that might be better suited to offering things for sale.

Tim ,you have replied...now that is a plurry good start, please do post us some photos of trail cam cover and indeed some trail cam images. I for one would love to see what animals you have been capturing on them and as I live down under, you wont have to worry about me popping around and knocking them over for the freezer.

The biggest issue I have with my trailcams is cattle using them for back scratchers. This might encourage them more.

Nevada is going to Ban trailcamera use during the hunting months. I think Aug 1st they have to be removed. I fully expect other states to follow suit.

Paul...Slimjim is only 5' 4". He'll need to drag a ladder to get them higher.

On private land or public?

Montana already has some silly laws on the books regarding trailcams, but I don't have any, so it doesn't apply for me.

So far only on private. Heres the regulation:

I see that the "land-of-the-free" gets more and more rules and laws... I think you have to many politicians too...?

do you want a belgian solution so that you still can use a trailcamera in Montana? Use a separate trigger system to warn you and then operate the camera manually (from a distance)... Smile

At least the Utah law allows them on private land. I need them to pattern the hogs on our ranch. I'd be wasting my time if I didn't have them.

I try but sometimes the tree branches are in the way or there is too many limbs to cut down. Or you can't get the right angle to see out into the fields.

I've stopped using remote 12v batteries even though they can last for half the year because the connection leaves an opening into the unit where moisture and ants can get into the unit.
