I had to open image in a new tab, but was able to see them that way. Cute little benches! You don't have any table space though, I need lots more room just to put the various stuff in front of me. But you didn't build it for me, right? Very space saving but comfortable organized and to the point. Very well done Paulie! What's that thing in the middle? looks like a spindle sander? Ok it's a tumbler but why the weird flat steel top...I'll have to look into that one...

The Lyman vibratory cleaner lid broke. It was quick and easy to use a piece of ABS sheet to put it back in service. I should have just thrown it away. It has always been noisy and it takes FOREVER to clean cases. I use my tumbler for nearly all my case cleaning now and the vibrator just sits there looking ugly.

The little stations are easy to make, portable and as sturdy as built-in benches. I designed them (a long time ago) based on the space I used while reloading. That is all that goes on at those stations. If I have to work on a gun I have my workbench that is 8 feet long with a vise complete with two sets of soft jaws.

Nice set-up Paul. Yeah those vibratory cleaners take a while, are dusty and you can't put water in them. Tha's wha I use. Found out that lizard bedding is the way to go for dust control, but maybe a mixture of mediums is better, it takes hours but so do the rock tumblers. The only thing I like is you don't have to wash them off, just take em out to the air compressor and blow off the dust.

This just baffles me to no end. I use a Lyman 1200 turbo and have for around 30 years. It's never failed nor does it take "hours" to do it's job. Well...Maybe an hour. But while it's doing the job of cleaning and polishing my cases I have other chores to complete around the bench to prepare to load. My media? fine ground corncob ( it will pass through the flash hole), chromium oxide and a few drops of new finish car wax.

So yer eyez er getting bad huh BushM?

I don't know what red rouge is made of but that's what I add for polish and it works great. So you put some drops of car wax in there? doesn't it clump up in the dust? or do you get any dust?

Internet over thinking again?
I'm with Bushy, have no issues with the vibration cleaners, no dust, I add some autosol to the media, yep some occasionally clogs a flash hole.
Wet tumbling, dare I say it is a "newer" process, seems to do a good job, but you have to wait for your brass to dry.
Is it so much better than the old vibration setup to go out an buy the new wet tumblers, nup.
If on the other hand you're starting from scratch, its up to you, you now have yet another choice.
Where's the beer?

Cool I'll have to try that. The rouge I use is a powder so I naturally get dust from that. No chromium oxide dust? Don't even offer me an dhc4ever a beer?

Paul,

What distro are you using? Are you fairly comfortable with command-line applications or do you prefer a GUI?

Image Magick is more-or-less the de facto image manipulation application for Linux but is not often installed by default. If you use a Debian based distro you can install it with the command:

sudo apt-get install imagemagick

Convert images on the command-line:

convert -resize 50% source.jpg dest.jpg
OR
convert -resize 800x600 source.png dest.jpg

You can also use the GIMP for a GUI application (also not typically installed by default).

Or if you use the Gnome desktop environment with the Nautilus file manager there is a plugin that allows you to resize an image simply by right clicking on it and selecting the appropriate option.

(sudo apt-get install nautilus-image-converter)

Azar,
I am currently using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I am equally at ease with command line or the GUI that is installed. I write my software for command line use because I use ANSI C.

I use Gimp on my system so my wife can use it to modify her photos from her camera.

I will save the resizers and converters that you listed and see if I prefer them over Gimp - My wife will continue to use Gimp and the GUI for everything. I use the GUI as well just because there are some very good programs for it. I really like Stellarium and LibreCAD. I use it (cad) to design and lay out all my projects for buildings or crafts.

We have a few things in common - Linux, CZ's and Rugers. I was even going to get a Utah pistol permit to add to the Washington and Oregon that I currently have.

After reading that my head hurts.
Suz, for you the fridge is always open.
Just leave the switch at home, can't run as fast as I used to.
