Sign me up! Indoor rifle at 100yds? That's a big building. I'd think they need a ton of staff to keep things safe, that must be expensive to run but they're getting lots of members.

"...a real boost to the shooting sports..."
For who? The elite that think the regular folks shouldn't have guns?
Sorry...Just a bit off my coffee this morning.

These ranges are a lot like the crystal cathedral to me. Wealthy people like to be catered to. It really doesn't matter whether its a gun range or a church. I like the range that I joined because it is young and growing. It costs the average member $65 for a family membership and has everything you need in a good range. The rifle range goes from 25 out to 600 yards (with plans to take it out to 800), the "smallbore" range goes out to 80 yards (with plans to go out to 150 yards), There are five separate pistol ranges that are 25 yards, a muzzle loading range, a bow range and a spot to throw knives and tomohawks. There is a shotgun range for informal practice and a patterning board, five stand, skeet and trap. It is the largest rang within 75 miles. If you are in Eastern Oregon or Eastern Washington you should check it out.
Their website is www.eergunclub.com and they list events held, a calendar of the month, weather, a classified section and information about the club and its history.

One of the places I frequent is very similar to what Paul has described !!!
The "clubhouse" is this huge log structure with a lounge area featuring a stone fireplace. Just a great place to hang out after shooting.

I can bring in up to seven friends so if you make it to the SE of Washington state you can stay with us and we will go shooting. I'll be going tomorrow. I have to check the zero on my 22 rifle at 80 yards to make sure the new ammo will shoot to the same point of impact.
I'm not ready to shoot my 3006 or 358 quite yet. Maybe when summer gets here this year.

I need to keep using the 22s for a while. I fired just 10 rounds through my 257 and paid for it with three days of back pain.
My back is getting stronger though so it won't be long before I am blasting away again with all my long guns.
