Two soldiers were attacked at St Jean Sur Richeleau Quebec a couple of days ago and yesterday in Ottawa at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier another soldier was murdered by another domestic terrorist. I am glad that the police killed both Muslim terrorist.

Definitely a sad situation. I glad Canada has the political courage to call these acts what they are - terrorist attacks. Unfortuneately, there were be more in the near future in both our countries.

In the Dark. A bad day for all of us. You are right, both were recent converts to Islam. However not all people who carry out acts of terror are Muslim and I am sure you aren't suggesting all Muslims are terrorists. Currently we are experiencing the fallout of a destabilized Middle East where the predominate faith is Islam. If this situation was occuring in the Far East it might be Hindu or Buddist radicals using terror and inciting people in our cities with mental health or other personal issues to carry out acts of terror.
The actions of a few don't reflect the values of the many.

Well inthedark, unbeknown to you and many others is the fact that the 32 year old gunman (other wise known as the terrorist) was born Michael Joseph Hall in Montreal, Canada, which I would say is not a Muslim name, and changed his name to Michael Zehaf-Bibeau when he converted to islam" He had been in trouble with the law In Quebec and B.C. His passport was canceled by the Canadian Gov. when it appeared he was going over seas to join the fight. He had criminal records indicating infractions related to drugs and violence and other criminal activities. While ISIS militants have stepped up recruitment efforts in Canada, there's no indication so far that the attacker was part of them. Was Zehaf-Bibeau a jihadist? He had "connections" to jihadists in Canada who shared a radical Islamist ideology, including at least one who went overseas to fight in Syria. There is "no evidence at this stage" that Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was linked to a wider group, or network, of jihadists. He was not a Muslim!!!

Ron...a terrible, terrible situation mate...these soldiers died in defence if their country, may they rest in peace.
It's good that the Sergeant at Arms was on the ball and killed the terrorist. Unfortunately, as Slim said, there will be more to come. I firmly believe that it is no longer a case if "IF", but now a case of "WHEN", and we better be ready.
Mac, you are right when you say all muslims are not terrorists, however, I add, "all terrorists these days are muslim". I think the idea of Hindu or Buddhists inciting these acts, for whatever reason, is a bit of a reach mate. I think you will find that both of these groups are also being targeted.

I try very hard not to post here any more because I know I am not welcome but sometimes I feel the need. I can be as racist as the next guy butttttttttttt, I know of a couple of guys running a Shell Station in the city that are by far nicer people then most white or socially acceptable people. They are both of Arab or Muslim decent and I have known them both for many many years and would trust either of them with my life. There are a**hles in every race, color or belief. Just because this yahoo was a radical does not make him a Muslim. JMHO take it or leave it............!

So does that mean that the natives of this country are all the same? I think not, some actually work for a living....!! Vince, you seem to paint with a wide brush...................

Hindu and Buddhists also have their share of terrorism..
Buddhist in Myanmar for instance..
Hindu in India..
Christian in Ireland ..
Yes the current spotlight seems to be on Muslim, but they are like any other religion, have flaws..

Vince,
That cartoon brought a tear to my eye. As an ex-groudpounder you know that causes come and go but your bond with those with whom you served is strong and lasting. Corporal Corillo didn't create the mess in the Middle East but he paid the price soldiers have paid time and time again.
