honest we asked who wanted to come and they just wiggled out of the lawn and let us put them into a container to transport them there (the garden fork wiggling earth furiously may have had something to do with it)
for once Nathan drew a blank...not a fish all day
SWMBO Becs on the other hand limited out with four trout and then sat and watched us lads try to catch up
I released the first trout of the day so was very happy with the three good fish that followed.
we dont get out often and today was a corker, we put in the time using techniques we have worked out over the years and hit paydirt

yip they are good and plump, nice orange/pink flesh trout get that colour when they have been eating water snails or koura (freshwater crayfish/yabbies)

mission accomplished..I caught another similar sized on spinner and managed to release it non the worse for wear.
