There are two retired policemen that come to our gun club meetings. They look like professional wrestlers so I made them club Range Officers. Bill and Rick asked me if I reload and did I want some brass. The answers were yes and yes. Last week they gave me two five gallon buckets of brass. One was mixed once-fired rifle brass in .243 Win., .30-06 and .30-30 and it filled three large plastic coffee containers. The next bucket was filled with nickel brass in .38 Special and .357 Magnum. I filled five large coffee containers with .38 Special brass and one of .357 Magnum brass. Looks like a lifetime supply. Once I get it sorted out and cleaned, I will get back to you good folks.

The guys said they have more brass and will bring it to me. All the best...
Gil

Look, for such guys I even like to pay taxes.
It's only a pity that so many other persons also like my money too and don't seem to return a favour...
So even retired they still serve. Wish them all the best. It's nice to have such friends.

A big +1 an Gelan's comment Gil...you have found a gold mine mate, or should I say it has found you.

If I was nearby I would make you an offer on some .243 and 30.30 brass. I found some once fired Winchester 30.30 brass yesterday...90 cases for $33 and I thought I had hit the jackpot...nothing like you though mate.

Shout these guys a beer or two from the rest if us here...they are some if the good guys.

Thanks Mike...didn't see that until tonight...all fixed mate.

My daughter is in your part of the world at the moment, well in London. She reckons it's a bit cool compared to Brisbane. Headed for Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and back to London over the next two weeks.

If only I had a few more .380 ACP cases.

I am envious, Gil...

For me it's 8 mm Mauser. Lots in the US but nothing in the great white north.

A mate and I went to a gun show here in Brisbane a few weeks back...he picked up about 500 military 8mm Mauser loads still in their stripper clips and in the original boxes...cost him less than $1 a round, so he was real happy.

Why don't you make (form) your own brass Mac? You can form 30.06 or .270 brass into the 8mm Mauser easily mate.

I waited over 6 months for the 6.8mm SPC brass I purchased to come in. Gil, you could retire yourself and just sell brass.

I have been making 8mm cases out of .30-06 brass for decades. All the best...
