|
Fox news poll released today says Christie on top of GOP race with 15% while Rand Paul and Jeb Bush tie at 14%. Hillary enjoys a huge lead getting more than 2/3 of Democrat support. If the GOP can't get their support together, Hillary will likely win and 2016 will be a defining change in GOP politics for the future, if it has a future. Personally, I sadly believe we may as well start getting used to the title of Madame President.

Even though it was Fox news I'd say the poll was skewed if Christie was even included, and then sayin he's on par with R. Paul and J. Bush. I've heard lots of support for Hillary in the media. I've heard lots of trash talking about Christie, Paul and Bush. If the media wants you to believe something, they'll just ram it home till you puke. As Ann Coulter put it "Conservatives who ignore amnesty while carping about the debt ceiling, TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program), the Internet tax bill or Benghazi are too stupid to help their country." With amnestied illegal aliens allowed to bring in their cousins and brothers-in-law under our insane "family reunification" policies, the 12 million illegal immigrants already here will quickly balloon to 30 million new voters -- who happen to break 8-to-2 for the Democrats. You don't have to be an economics professor to know that bringing in millions of workers is not "an economic boon" to the workers already here. Even legal immigrants know to vote down any sort of amnesty. Unfortunately, we have idiots doing the idiot thing, pretending to be "tea partiers," while challenging sitting Republican senators over fairly minor ideological differences. Anyone opposing an incumbent Republican for any reason other than amnesty is a fraud or an idiot. Right now, immigration and Obamacare are the only things that matter. Since every Republican voted against Obamacare, that leaves only immigration.

While I do not believe Christie is a friend of gun owners nor do I believe he'd make a good President, I have to think the only reason he's received this "Bridge-gate" attention is that his popularity was thought to be a threat to Hillary. He's a republican by name and very popular in a very democrat state. Traffic jams in New Jersey are the norm and usually receive very little attention.
With the republican party so fragmented, they stand little chance of a national win. As for myself, I'm tired of voting for the lessor of two evils. I've done it time and again only to be disappointed with the results and let's face it they haven't been fielding great candidates. Republican candidates have been mostly progressive party line politicians and they are obviously not appealing to most traditional conservative republican voters. That said, if given a choice between Hillary and whoever, I'll probably vote for whoever again.

I'm already sick of politics and the rallies haven't even started yet. You all have posted insightful comments. I feel the only Reason Romney lost was he chose a white man as his VP. The minorities in this country weren't going to put two more white guys in the oval office again. It didn't matter how good the combination was.
