Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments...
Elvis - no, I did not keep the wood. I mighta shoulda but, I didn't...
Vince - the barrel and receiver both were bead blasted before being coated. I have used other "coaters" in the past but, I was always sadly dissapointed. The finish looked bad, the metal was not properly prepared before the coating was applied, as well as other problems and headaches...
I finally found someone that took pride in their work, did professional work and was someone I could trust enough to have my customers send their work to him...
I hope you can find someone like I finally did, that will do a good job for you, so you can be proud of your gun when you get it back...
I shot 100 rounds through my gun shooting trap, before I took the pictures and as you can see, there are no wear marks on the slides or bolt....
