Is powder still in short supply all over the US or is it just my state? I've heard people say they are finding stuff regularly outside Utah but within its like a black hole.

I think if you're after a specific powder, then things can be tough.
I saw no H4831sc anywhere in Albuquerque but plenty of 2400. One place had a LOT of 4lb jugs of Red Dot but little else.
Primers are certainly easier to find but the price is $35/1,000 & up.

Count yourselves lucky though; powder's $70/1lb back here in the UK. Sad

Now if only I could find a powder fairy. Good on you Mr. Dallan.

Powder here is hard to find also, you never know what you will find, but you have to check often enough to find what you want. Cabela's here puts out various powders once a week and you have to be in tune to their timing. Other places are hit or miss also. I have enough varieties and quantities to last a while.

I've been using Unique in my 380, works great and uses the same charge as my 32h&r magnum. 4gr Unique for the 32 with a 85grn jhp. and 4gr Unique for the 380 with a 90grn Sierra hp.

That's a real bonus Dallan. I would have taken SWMBO and your young fella as well...2lbs each x three peoples is 6 lbs...more than enough to keep you shooting for a long time.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to share which local shop got in the 24lb shipment of H4350? Like you said, Utah is like a blackhole when it comes to powder and primers...

I'm okay on primers, but powder... I'm getting a little antsy...

Gunnies for powder (my favorite small shop), they have stuff when others dont. Gallenson's get stuff in regularly too but they jacked their prices up.

As for primers... everyone has them that I can see. Cal-Ranch, Cabelas, Gunnies, Scheel's etc all have 1k boxes of them in all sizes.
