Some of you may remember that a while back I was talking about moving to a piece of land God had blessed me with. Well We are finally living there. I won't bore you with all the gory details of blown out septic systems and bad wells, we are here at last.
So anyway, now to the important news. Yesterday around 7:00 AM I'm sitting in my Lazy Boy working on another round of coffee and I chanced to look out my front window and not 50 yards away was a 4 point buck eating the acorns under the white oak. Stayed for about 10 minutes. That made all the trials of moving melt away.
Now I don't want you to think that I sat in that same chair all day. I did get up and do some other stuff, but about 2 my butt was back in it and when I looked back out that same window there were a dozen or more turkeys there under that big old white oak scratching up them acorns.
Sorry did not have my camera as it was still at the old house, but got it now and with any luck I'll get some picks of my visitors to share. And yes to those of you who know it is deer season here, but I hunt further back, don't want to be hunting near the house cause I likes the visitors.

lesterg3, you are a lucky man! Now the forum will have someone that can challenge Elvis with his "shooting breakfast in his bathrobe from his backyard" stories. Pictures would be great.

Isn't living in the country nice, peaceful, serene, quiet and just plain relaxing.

Good for you Lester. A new world awaits you.
I have lived in the woods and on a gravel roads my entire life and have no idea what city living is like, and don't care to know.
Congratulations, sit back, relax, and enjoy life.
