I was out in Ft Lewis WA getting ready to do some training this weekend and they National Guard unit we were supposed to train were told they don't get paid so they sent us home.

Yep, the national guard is unnecessary - unless they need them to fight a foreign war that is......

If it cost 300 million to run the government when it is shut down how much does it cost when it is running (I was going to sat "working" but it never does that).

Going in to week three and I personally can't tell the difference in my life. I haven't heard anyone on the media tell us how much money we're saving with the government shut down.

I heard a video where a democrat senator said that they were going to pass the "safe act"? so they could fund the government. She also said that they were "under martial law"???

This is the same dumb senator that has said some stupid things in the past so I don't put much faith in what she says but it bothers me that she used the term "martial law".

Is it time to start boarding up the homestead and filling sandbags?
