I'm back, well kinda

Had a bad week. Sunday morning the 12th, I was in the shower at 4am getting ready for work. Felt lightheaded but not too bad. Got out and combed my hair, brushed teeth, yall know the routine. Then for no known reason started vomiting blood clots. Baseball sized blood clots. Got done. Rebrushed my teeth. Got dressed then got sick again. Its not normal to vomit blood clots, at least I thought. Wife took me to the ER as now I cant sit or stand without passing out. ER takes blood and then wheels me into ICU and the Dr says the surgical team is enroute. WTH? I'm then told I'm bleeding internally and they cant get it to stop. I'm hearing all kinds of stuff like ulcer and such. They put me under and find I have a esophageal tear caused from vomiting. They say its fixed and not bleeding anymore. I'm in ICU from sunday to Monday night. Monday afternoon, another dr comes by and says I'm still bleeding according to my blood work. Stay in ICU anotherday. Ultrasound of my abdomen reviels pooling of unknown fluid. Dr says they think the fluid is from the IV as I had 2 going wide open before the surgery. Anyway, 1 doc says I have "non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver". A while later another doc says all my blood tests for the liver come back normal. So basically they don't know what caused me to vomit blood, before I tore my esophagus. They release me Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon my stomach swells and I discovered I gained 19# from sunday til Wednesday. OK start calling dr's again. Best answer is go back to the ER. I get x-rayd and a CT scan with contrast. Abdomen is filled with fluid. So much so I can hardly breath. Friday morning they stick my abdomen with a lore bore needle and drain 2.5 liters of fluid off my pertineal cavity. They put me on more blood pressure meds (3 now) a diauretic and something else. They said I lost so much blood I'm anemic and it would take weeks to get any energy back. 2 days before all this happened I was hiking 2 miles with my dog and hardly breaking a sweat. Now I cant walk to the mailbox without stopping to catch my breath. I go back to the Dr's Thursday and Friday. Hopefully they wont kill me before the weekend.

I glad your home, and pray your on the mend. It's a goof thing you got away from those Doctors before they killed you.

God bless our medical schools and I am sure things will get much better with Obama Care.

Thought I had problems......your discription set me down, I pray you will get back your strength and health, (I know what it's like to be weakened and useless) I'm glad you have a caring wife to help you through this, she is worth more than anything. You have a strong heart and temperment I'm sure your recovery will be just as strong and you're gonna get one woppin of an ole Indian lady's heavy handed prayer to deal with....close your eyes....here it comes....

Damn...what ya doin' to yourself mate? It sounds like you are having some pretty nasty problems.

Take it easy mate, relax and get well. With some luck the Dr will identify the problem before it causes you any more grief.

I'm going to boost those prayers that Suz is sending with a heap of mine, for a quick and total recovery, so that you can get back to doing those things that give you so much pleasure. Also, give your lovely lady a huge hug for being on the ball...she is obviously a damn fine wife mate.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys and gals. I got bad news from the Dr. Stage 4 cirrohiss. Its irreversible. All they can do is treat the symptoms. Transplant is the only cure and I don't know yet if its bad enough yet to get on the list. Got more blood taken today and see my reg Dr tomorrow. I'll let yall know. Keep me on the prayer list, Rudy. And I never been a big drinker. A 6 pack will last me a month, so go figure.
