If you are in areas of Australia that observed the daylight saving time, remember to wind back your clock 1 hour at midnight.
The rest of you bugger off.. Very Happy

Daylight saving time Very Happy

I really wish for a 25 hours day..
give me an extra hour to play with my guns..

That's the way I feel too! When I lived in Arizona we never changed to daylight savings time, just used the same time year round. Moved up to Oregon and we have to change. It doesn't make sense to me. If they did it for farmers or shop keepers or what-have-you what difference has it made? Can't you adjust your own darn time if you want to? Why do the rest of us have to change our time to accomodate your inflexibility?

I rather liked watching the sun come up in different places throughout the year, it was always a reminder of the season to come. Now I only see the sun come up in the summer cause I'm at work when it comes up in the winter. Those of us who cherish the sun every morning (whether it's raining or not) have been denyed the simple pleasure.

In the old days our people used to orient their homes to the rising of the sun and get up early to say howdy to it each day. In this place it's become some annoyance that has to be reconed with because of our reliance on time keeping conviences. My Dad used to get up and jog towards the rising sun and when it came up he would stop, bend down and kiss the earth, say a quick good morning to the sun and return home for breakfast. Now that's the way to do it. Father Sun and Mother Earth.....they should be honored as such, what do you have without them? A nice watch to keep the time?

I'm on your side Suz. Pick a time and stick to it and stop changing the time.

good point there Suz. I believe the rational behind the change is to give the wage slaves enough time after work during the summer months to come home and fire up the B.B.Q. the trouble is the 40 hour week has long gone and if like me you work in a farming area it just means you stay out working an hour later and dont get home till well after a decent bedtime!!!

Up here old Joh B Peterson (ex state furher) refused daylight saving on the grounds that the sun shone out of his ass and he wasn't getting out of bed an hour earlier for anyone.
Daylight saving is a boon to the wage slaves in the cities, if like bushy you're on the land living the dream it makes no difference.
Here in QLD in summer the sun comes up at 04:45 and sets at 7 pm, most city workers don't get home until around 6 pm, not much time to enjoy the light with the kids, although I will admit on a 110 deg day you just want the sun to go down asap.

I was working on the night DLS ticked back, what a Ferkin nightmare. Near riot by 300odd teenagers at out of control party, then the pubs open for an extra hour and we have to clean up the debris. What a mess! DLS can go to hell. Now I can't row in the evenings cause the river isn't safe after dark - too many hazards. I hate ergs, I hate ergs, I hate ergs! (erg is an ergometer a static rowing machine)
