Barrett the manufacturer did something similar a few years ago, against I think California.
California banned the .50 cal Barrett for civilian use, Barrett refused to service the state owned firearms.

Yup, Ronnie Barrett told California a few years back to pound sand, and today another manufacturer told NY the same thing.

Quote:
"Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies . . .

For “civilian” customers residing in New York:
At your choice, we will:

complete your order and ship to a dealer of your choice outside of NY
refund your payment in full
hold your items here for up to 6 months, at no charge – if you are in the process of leaving NY and taking residence in another state.

For LE/Govt customers in New York:

Your orders have been cancelled."

The manufacturers are putting their money where their mouths are! Now we have to support them!

I agree very strongly Punkin. These Companies are prepared to support the Constitution, it's Amendments and the Citizens of NY...the very least people can do is support them.

About time they fight back. I'm pretty tired of those (Smith and Wesson did it during Slick-Willy's reign) that suck up to the government in order to preserve their contracts while leaving us consumers on the sidelines. Now it is up to us to let them know we support them too.

Also remember the Cooper saga. The owner of that company donated to the first Obama campaign.

good on them. now I surely hope that other states offer those police working in that area jobs elsewhere as they are surely caught between a rock and a hard place. Hopefully they will have a trust old side by side 12ga to look after themselves.

CTD are trying hard to make amends.

Their latest press release says they will only supply LE with whatever is legal for ordinary citizens of that state.

I could only wish Glock would say the same - THEN the squeals of indignation would start.

Maybe we need to initiate a letter writing campaign.
I bet I can find an email for "customer support".

Saw this on the Armalite link

quote "Clearly, THEIR weapons are “only for killing”. How could anyone deny THAT? I have yet to see a guy in a cop uniform out hunting." quote

Duh,, So if guns are for only hunting why are the law enforcement people armed ? Seems armalite has a double standard about us so called commoners ,us versus them mentality.

So explain to me the anti-gunners reasoning on "guns are for hunting not for a tyrannical government."
