These idiots aren't conservationists; they're preservationists & thus cannot see past the "bang = dead animal" scenario.
They have no idea whatsoever as to the money spent on breeding these herds & the cost of their upkeep.
Like many "animal rights" types, they spend all their donations on propaganda whilst hunters & ranchers plough literally BILLIONS into improving, breeding & managing them.
Without private finance, the animals mentioned in the OP's link would likely be COMPLETELY extinct by now & not just in their native habitat, as no African government is either competent or financially able to protect them.

I'm just a little past seriously P***ed off with the bloody bunny huggers. Mad

Tired of the BS?

Get out and vote. The "news" polls today showed a dead heat between Oblammy and Romney. If the election was tomorrow you could expect 4 more years of STUPID LIBERALS and a further denuding of America. IF the Libertards win this one? We are SCREWED FOR GOOD.

There's WAY more of us than there are of THEM. Seriously guys, we loose this one and we might was well move to England, or France, or Quebec! Aaaack!

Tell everyone you know that has a brain to vote and if they don't you will seriously fertilze their pants with your boot! I am!

Vote or reap it!

well when the number are considered too high by some plurry bean counter the birds are culled during the moult. the birds are buried and thats the end of them, some are clubbed if they can be mobbed into an area to catch and some are shot from the air, a very cost efficent way to reduse the numbers. opening your farm gate to shooters works better but we wont go there,
and no they arent collected for food the reasons I was given is the backlash if someone got sick as they arent killed in a regestered slaughterhouse bla bla bla. Sad
the clever birds and the ones that get away to be clever will soon avoid these trouble spots and spread the population further.
