Things are looking a bit "worrysome".

"Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near."

“Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is. And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is. Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?"

Just a couple of fitting thoughts.

But you can always cash in on the craze, take a look at Ruger's stock market chart. The symbol is RGR. Mid May or so they were priced at around $20 but right now they're almost at $50. I gotta find a few dollars to wager.....

Lester!! You're quick with that biblical stuff, how come I never got anything out of the bible? I can't play chess worth a pooie either, must be a thinkin person's game. Funny I have a brother that has written 2 books on the bible, a sister that used to be a minister, and my parents are so hooked up with the church that they'd rather go to a church function than honor their own family's events. I'm left in the dark, care very little about religion and I figure it's caused more wars, hate and strife than anything. I do, however admire anyone who can put it to good use. Maybe I'm not so much in touch with the attraction but one thing I've learned is that if you walk the talk, you're ok by me. That's something my sister taught me, she said people will recognize your attitude more than they will appreciate your preaching, and that's why she quit as a minister. So that's what I try to do, walk the talk. That's just me, I'm not telling you to shut up Lester, please go with it, you've found a great tool to use and you know how to use it, most people only think they know something, you show us how it works.

Suz

Funny thing Suz, I haven’t been in a church since I was about 14. The number of preachers in my family are too many to count, and there is even a town in Georgia that has a historic center dedicated to a close relative named Samuel Potter Jones a firebrand preacher of some repute, and yet I don’t or won’t listen to preachers, ministers or anyone else who wants to tell me what I should believe or think.

I read and study a lot, and if you are really searching for the truth I have found you really have to dig very deep, because if there is one thing that man is truly good at it is twisting the truth to meet his agenda. But, by far one of the best investments I ever made was a Dake Annotated Reference Bible. Not that I am endorsing anything.

At one time, when I was young I had all the answers, if you needed to know anything I could give you an answer. Now that I’m an old pha-t I’m not pretty sure I know even know all the questions. What I do know is that what is going on is not the answer, look anywhere and it is easy to see people being abused, lied to, controlled, and manipulated. I guess what I try to do mostly is get folks to think, something our beloved government finds troublesome.

For myself and my family, I try my best to keep my ears and eyes open. Placing the blame on God for what man does in the name of God is something I did for a long time, until I found out what God really said and more so what it meant.

Therefore, I thank you for not telling me to shut up, but I do beg your and everyone’s else forgiveness if using scripture is annoying. I find I can’t help myself anymore, if the shoe or parable in this case, fits then wear it. There is more truth and wisdom in that book than in the many 1000’s of others I have read.

It says a lot about the people's confidence in their "leadership" when they start stocking up on guns and ammo... Kinda like back in 1776.

Shocked And if you need proof-My state of Oregon being ultra liberal at least on the west side had a gun show one month ago at its portland expo center. It was as packed as when Obama first took office!ammo was going out the doors in record quantities-even with high prices, and the state police gun purchase check system has been in such a glut that it shut down last week! The liberals are even purchasing firearms now-they are unsure of the state of the country! The coolaid must have stopped working for some of them! wtf
