Yeah yeah got some record breaking snow (for this time of year) 6-10 inches. Earlier we had some 60+ mph winds then some dumptruck rainfall, but the snow was the one that did the damage. 7,000+ homes without power, trees down and roads closed. You would think the wind would get the trees prepared for weather but the snow broke their backs. I made out ok except for the first day of snow when I came home from work, after surviving the driving conditions (honestly it wasn't bad at all) I got home and was closing the door to my truck, for some reason I turned around to see if my seatbelt was going to retract, placed my hand on the cab and closed the door on my trigger finger. And the door latched. Never felt a thing and didn't notice it until I tried to walk away and found my arm being held back. Thank you, I didn't break my finger and I didn't lock the door. The door lock on the driver side doesn't unlock very easily. Anyway I got a very hurt finger, blood streaming out of it, but it's just bruised and a little swollen. I can still use all my joints too.
Hey TRBL I have a friend in Vancouver Wa. and she says it didn't even snow there. Seems like Portland got snow.

Yes Suz, which finger?
I think it's one of the signs of getting old and getting to know that german guy, you start to forget these little things, even don't remember where you put them and leave them behind.
Now when they are firmly attached to the rest of your body, this has 1 big advantage: you don't have to search for them afterwards...
On the other end: such things help to meld the snow and it's less painfull in winter than in summer...
And don't forget to remember the lesson: next time call Jon when you want to close a door or check a seatbelt...
