Just read this article and it made my blood boil, here's a snipit from the article.

Wonder what his cut from the crimes is? Of course you have to remember that the current administration's policy seems to be to apologize for any action that might be considered "standing up for yourself".

I've been saying for a long time that we ENCOURAGE crime by submitting to it.

It is obvious that has never spoken to a rape victim or been a victim of robbery or even burglary.
You don't heal - you become a victim and remain so.
If you confront and fight you don't become a victim. You live or die free.
Once you have become a victim it takes a conscious choice to take your power back and recover.
never again a victim!

It is obvious from his on line biography that this guy has spent his life living on taxpayers and protecting criminals. Therefore, by what virtue of experience does he have to advise anybody on anything?

My guess is that neither he nor his family ever need to walk the streets of DC, and if he did I suspect he would either not be around to make statements that are ignorant or he would be singing a different tune. I would also say that I hope his wife and kids, if he has either never have to walk the streets with him.

A couple of thoughts come to mind.

1. If you have never smashed your thumb with a hammer please don't tell me how bad it hurts.

2. Birds of a feather flock together, maybe there are so many criminals in Washington DC because there are so many politicians there.

I've heard that mentality before. It's how they instruct retail cashiers and bank tellers, give them what they want, it's not worth loosing your life over some cash. This guy however has taken it to the extreme. The unarmed guy on the street that meets a lone armed robber is at more risk of being shot than a bank teller or retail cashier. They are more likely not going to shoot when there are lots of witnesses and they want the transaction to be fast, so they can beat it before the cops arrive. The lone robber on the street is aware of police presence, comfortable with is territory (escape routes) and even comfortable leaving a wounded or dead victim. Yeah right...submit to it? Passive, submissive is what criminals are counting on. Odds are (at least where they live) a victim is unarmed and willing to give up, if a gun is pointed at them. Criminals take the easy way out of 'making a living'. Being passive only perpetuates crime, as is noted in the article, the crime rate ain't agoin down!

funny enough Ive never had anyone try to swamp my canoe with a jetski or fizz boat when Im dressed in camo with the barrel of the shotty poking out the front??? wonder what changes when Im fishing????

The only repeat criminals I know of were the ones that weren't shot and killed the first time.

It depends what you prefer. I prefer not to be a victim and long ago decided how I would deal with a threat. All the best...

Don't know if anyone has noticed but the article was wrote by Emily Miller......... that's the same girl that wrote the "Emily gets her gun" series that deals with DC's (unconstitutional) gun regulations !!!
