Due to frequent requests I added a Mill Dot Table to the program last night. I plan to release a new version in the next couple days.

I will be adding .5, .33 and .25 MOA click tables as well.

Ok so the final tweaks on layout are done. The top of the MOA page has a dropdown for the "units" to calculate it in. 1 MOA, .5 MOA, .33333 MOA, .25 MOA and MIL-DOT.

I have a couple minor things to wrap up before I push up the new version.

I may be misunderstanding how to use the MOA table, so hopefully someone can clear something up for me.

If I set up a load sighted in for 100 yds and check out the Table Data, I should be able to take the Elevation from 500 yds, divide by 5, and divide by 1.047 to get MOA to come up. But if I go to the MOA table and align the 100 and 500, there's a different value than what I calculated.

Am I going about this the wrong way? What am I missing?

I recently made a change to these calculations, there is a chance I accidently introduced a bug of some form. Let me dig up the code and double check the calculations.

Verified, found the problem and fixed it. I will be pushing up another version Sunday. Thanks for the report!

Ok so wait, I did some more work on this and realized the initial calculations appeared correct after all.

For example I compute a trajectory from the following values:

BC: .349
Vel: 2750
Alt: 1500
Weight: 150
Dist: 100
Temp: 70
Sight: 0.0

Which gives me a zero at 100 yards, and a height of -68.45" at 500 yards.

-68.45" / 5 = -13.69"
-13.69" * 1.04719756 = -14.3361345964" MOA.

The MOA table shows a print out of -14.34 in the 500 yard column.

Another test:

BC: .445
Vel: 3100
Weight: 130
Alt: 3000
Dist: 100
Temp: 70
Sight: 1.5

This gives me a zero at 100 yards, and a height of -41.46" at 500 yards.

-41.46 / 5 = -8.292
-8.292 * 1.04719756 = -8.68336216752 MOA

The MOA table shows -8.68 MOA in the 500 yard column.

So after alot of testing, I'm not seeing where this is failing. Please post the values you are using to generate an error and I will dig into this further. I am not saying you arent seeing a problem, just that I cannot reproduce it in my tests.

Thanks for checking. I won't be home till later to see the example I was looking at, but if 1 MOA =1.047", then the inches should always be higher than the MOA right?

First off, I want to say that this software rocks! I took my first shots at 1000 yds this weekend with impressive results. I had printed out a couple of PB table data (1 for 100yds and 1 for 300yds) and used that to calculate MOA to bring my zero from 100yds to 300yds, and another to bring it up to 1000yds.

Anyway, here's what I've got for my 270wsm.

BC: .495
Velocity: 3046
Weight: 140
Altitude: 1750
Zero: 100
Temp: 30
Sight: 1.63

In several ballistic calculators, this results in the following:

PB = 43.05" low @ 500 or 9.02 MOA
JBM = 42.8" drop @ 500 or 8.2 MOA
BGI = 42.6" drop @ 500 or 8.25 MOA
Hornady = 43.8" drop @ 500 or 8.4 MOA

Unless I'm misunderstanding the intent of the MOA table, it seems that the drop should be divided by 1.047 to get the MOA.
