May I be the first to congratulate you on your hunt. Your daughter. She was on this hunt too? And a fine fox it is...

Bushy, yes both daughters, SWMBO and my dog went with me.
We have great fun.
I wish I have video of us stalking goats.. many funny episodes doing that.
We get to scream in the middle of goat mobs a few times.
and since my dog is small, she could just run up to the goats.. there is a photo of her near the goats.

Oh, one more question. Did you get the rabbits or did the vultures?

Slim, we get every meat we could.
Even the broken up rabbits have perfectly good front legs.
Vince, SWMBO is in her usual deadly self and accounted for a few rabbits with her single shot Slazenger 22.
The amount of rain lately gives high birth rate of feral animal in the region.
It'll be great time to go around Easter coz its way hot right now.

Sun rises late up there, huh. |
The 6 1/2 degrees of latitude makes a big difference in daylight hours between Ava and Prince Albert. Today Jan 3 2012 Sunrise in PA is 0917hrs and in Ava it is 0727hrs, Sunset in PA is 1658hrs and Ava 1708hrs.
Thats 1hr 50mins in the morning plus 10 minutes in the evening difference.
Check this site out: www.gaisma.com/en/
You get 14 hours of sunshine in June and we get almost 17 hours.

Please tell us about the rifle(s), scope and ammo you were using. One rifle looked like it could be a Ruger.

I use a 45-70 Govt. H&R Buff Classic,
I load them my self with 500 grain hollow point I cast, pushed by 35.3 gn of AR2206H to 1200fps or so.
On it. I have a tiny japanese made 4x15 scope.
My daughter uses Ruger 77/22. loaded with Win Power Point.
