[quote="dan1dad The other is a 44 mag 6inch my dad bought back in the 60's , I think. He reworked the trigger to a 2 pound pull, and its just to damn light for my liking. Im going to beef it up a little bit. You dont want a gun that goes off when you breath. Not a 44 mag at least.

Hell, I'll take that off your hands!! That's just the way I like the trigger. Actually, even lighter. My Blackhawk .44 Mag has a trigger pull around 1 pound. Up to 100 yards I can shoot that cannon as accurately as most can shoot a rifle. The trick is to keep your trigger finger outside the guard until you want to shoot.

I learned a long time ago to keep my trigger finger out of the guard the hard way. Had a smith model 39 when I was in high school. It had an ejection problem and I was in our kitchen at home telling my dad about it. I dropped the clip, and cycled the slide to show him what was happening. Stupid me had my finger on the trigger. Slide went forward, and the one round that was suppose to demonstrate the ejection problem, went BANG!!
the bullet went through the ceiling of the kitchen. I was totally freaking, shaking like a leaf and deaf at a log. My dad had already gotten up from the table and was going into the attic with a flashlight and pocket knife in hand. He was more interested in seeing the bullet than the hole in the ceiling. After he pried the bullet from a rafter and examined it, he said we had better patch the hole before my mom got home... then he told me how he did a similar act when he was a kid, but he shot my grandma's fireplace LOL Anyway, since that day I never put my finger inside the trigger guard until I am damn sure ready to shoot.

Oh, and no, you cant take the 44 off my hands. I'm keeping that baby. I cant imagine a one pound pull. A hummingbird fart would make that go off.
