What Elyboy say is especially true of the 9mm (and .40). Quite often you see 1.125" listed as the standard OAL in books however you will see a number of newer load sheets giving an OAL down to about 1 ... |

I can recommend the M&P in either 9 or 40, or the XD 40 or the Sig 9 or the Kimber 45... I haven't met a pistol I didn't like.
