on the 21,22,and 23 of Oct., Pa. had a Jr and senior anterless rifle season. at 78, I definitly qualify as the latter. anthow, at 6:10 on Sat., I finally see deer across an open field at close to 250 yds. the larger one is faceing me, the 2 smaller ones both with tailes raised, nervous, taking a rest for the 30-06 H&R from the top of a fence post, I turn the 2x7 Nikon up to 7 and rest the cross wires under her nose and squese, a resounding thud echoed back across the field and I have a nice fat 140 lb white tail for the freezer. have 2 more tags left for the regular seasos, so far so good.
