Nice K.W. Have you used these bullets? And how did they do?

Yes, mr Bushmaster. I use those Archipelago bulluts for my T/C Contender and T/C G2 9mm Luger- and .357 Rem maximum pistols. Also Dan Wesson .357 supermag revolver.
I make with VihtaVuori N-110 silhuette training- and N-32C silencer and cowboy loads.
I think, Archipelagos are cheapist bullets in Finland. They are accurate enough for me. Groups with T/C .357 rem max / 4x 20 Redfield
Golden Five Star pistol scope < 1,5 MOA /100 meters whole day long. (Elbow rest occourse. I hav´nt Ransom-).
Kauko.

Had to buy some 9MM bullets.

Long story short, The guy I've been buying from don't know what he's selling or who makes them. Rainier, Frontier, Barrey's they are all the same to him.
( time to find a new place to buy bullets )

Sorry for any confussion I may have caused !!!!

In case he might be called to testify in a "case".......

Bushy:

Wally World carries a spray that has Permanone in it; you just spray it on your ourdoor clothing. It's supposed to repel/kill the critters through several washings.
I have not tried it, but it sounds like it works well. Stuff with Deet will melt your rubber gun grips or the armor on your binocs.
I sure could have used something the year I was photographing elk in Yellowstone Park. I got a real mess of chigger bites. Mad

I have a new box of Berry's 125 gr. HP bullets for my 357. They don't have a cannelure, and I have heard you need to taper crimp them, or apply a minimal standard crimp so the plating won't be cut.

Update! Shocked Due to a caveat on another forum, I measured some of my Berry's 125 gr. bullets, and they were all .355-.356...9mm. diameter! I called Berry's, and was told they did some 125gr. bullets for the .357 SIG, which is actualy a 9mm, and that's what I must have gotten. A new box is on the way to me. Thank You, Berry's! Very Happy

What's your experience with the Raniers, Bushy?

Yeah, I know this is off topic guys...but I've suffered from scrub itch BADLY in the past, it is cruel, I scratched till I bled like a stuck pig...sounds and looks exactly like chigger bites...so I thought I'd do a little research and found the following:

Home Remedies for Chigger Bites

Now, back on topic...how thick is the plating on these plated bullets? Is it sufficient for rifle velocities? Just a thought...was wondering how they'd do in my 30.30 Mod 94.

Cheers, Vince

For prevention try using a dryer softener sheet - rub it on all exposed skin and on your clothing too. It keeps the skeeters off and the use the same CO2 trigger that the chiggers and ticks use.

PaulS...There ain't no ticks, just skeeters, in Western Washington. At least all the years I lived there hunting and fishing east and west of Seattle I never found one...

Not sure about rifle bullets, but the Rainier pistol bullets I have are supposed to have a .004" thickness...
