Yah well our economy is leading the G8 in terms of recovery since 2008, The Canadian economy is expected to grow over 4% this year, verses 2.5% or so for the US and 2% for Europe.
You know, we only went 120 billion in the hole the last 3 years since the recession, verses our current GDP of 1.34 trillion dollars. In the US, during these same 3 years, debt as soared by 4.22 trillion, out of a GDP of 14.12 trillion dollars.
Which means, we have collected a mere 9% debt compared to our GDP, but in the US, its sitting at 30%. Over the last 3 years.
Or another way to look at it is, once you factor populations, Canada would have spent a mere 1.092 trillion dollars to recover the economy if we had the population in the US. Where as to spend as much as the US did, again per the population differences into account, we'd have to spend 464 Billion dollars.
And to think, there were some media outlets and politicians who claimed, to be able to "recover ourselves" we must follow the same lead the US was in terms of spending.
Remember when it comes to electing a party, the one who has a leader who acts as stiff as a bone in front of people (our PM Harper -
www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FGIQpdtS_Y has been called many names for his level headedness), may be the better choice, then the one who acts passionate and emotionally with people. Cause well at least their head is screwed on straight and working right.
