Anyone have any experience with the Rossi single shot rifles? I was curious of the quality, I am thinking of getting the Trifecta or the Pack 4 for my daughter.

Years ago we got the 22/ 410 commo for our son. Fit Etc was good how ever the trigger was a tad stiff and could have had the attention of a smith . That I think took away from what the rifle could have grouped .
He did not like the rifle , rather have his mothers Rossi 22 Pump .Could not get over having to load one at the time .
Now the rossi pump was an excellent gun overal with out going any thing to it It has served us well now for over fifteen years .

my big brother has a rossi .308 single it shoots good enough to be his main deer gun. the leed/ throught is looong so he cant set bullets out far enough to touch rifling. but it shoots great is easy to carry. he has a 1-5 compact leupold on it a good combo.
another buddy had a .223 rossi single that shot great too.
the great thing with them is being able to break it down when packing out and tuck it away safe.

Not sure about the single shot stuff, but I got a .357 Puma lever action that behaves very well.

I got to look at the Rossi while I was in Cabela's this morning. I thought their quality was excellent. The stock had an add-on check rest for using a scope. The rifle was light and easy to handle. The trigger bull was a bit heavy but smooth. I'd estimate 6 pounds. I bet, with a little work, it would make the trigger even nicer. They were sellin fast.

I'm pretty biased towards Weatherby rifles. Have you checked out a Vangaurd? These are a great buy for the money these days, and come in many calibers.

I actually found a great deal on a Remington 700 youth in a .243. I was really impressed in the length, and weight of the gun. I also think that if my daughter decides she doesn't want to hunt anymore I may use it as a pack gun/woods gun. I have never been a big fan of Remington, I know they make good guns but I just don't like them. Although when I seen this gun I absolutely fell in love with it, its exactly what I have been looking for for my daughter and the price is quite good, although I am going to have to replace the scope thats on it most likely as its a cheap scope.
