on my new m&p 15-22 i want to raise the red dot sight a tick so i can keep the MBUS sights on etc..i need something like a short section of rail or some such. i think theres a product for this but not sure what its called. my top rail aint tapped so...any suggestions short of tapping the rail ??

Stovepipe - I think you are describing a flat top Riser. I've seen a lot of them that just Attach to your rail with set screws, no need to drill and tap. Try Midway, or Cheaper than Dirt, you should find what you're looking for.

perfect, thanks gents. i moved the rear sight forward and the dot sight back to eliminate some paralax and that helped a tad, might swap them back to increase sight radius.... i can actually see these sights, looked thrugh them fisrt time today. i think that .5" riser will be perfect as itll let me flip the sights up and see thruogh the dot tube. folded down they aint in the way much. cant wait to take this lil thing out for some bush kickn!mucho thanks guys.

Most of the shooters, I've seen with this type of set-up want the red-dot in-line with the front sight (1.5" from top of rail to center-line of scope/red-dot).

copy slim. i fiddled with them some and put it back the way it was orrig. riser and Blackhawk SP sling on the way. cant wait to drill with it.
