So Bass Pro sent us their flyer for the middle of August sales that they will be having. And They have some AMAZING prices.

They are such great deals that you MUST go out and spend our money!



It is the same crossbow I got, its a great crossbow, bought one for my Godfather when it was on special before too. I got suckered into the "regular price".

Its better then the Excalibur 225lb crossbows everyone I know has, and tests on shooting tree's has shown the Barnett will out preform the Excalibur in penetration when using the recommended set up that Excalibur has, verses a Barnett with properly weighted bolts and the 125gr Thunder Heads.

But enough about the crossbow itself, if you realized it or not, I have just been blabbing on to make some filler space so I can keep you from seeing this picture next. Cause if I just put white space some of you would just skip down and wouldn't get my SARCASM about Bass Pro's specials that I was saying above the first picture.

Bass Pro has a history of putting "sale prices" on stuff that were listed regularly at that same price anyways to cause people to go in and shop. A few of us noticed it but since this is with the crossbow I personally own, and its a very interesting difference I just had to post it.

Anyways without further ado, this is Bass Pro's regular price for the crossbow, picture taken less then a hour ago when I was there.



So go quick and spend your money! By the way when Bass Pro has had this bow on special without it being in the flyer it was listed at 399.99$ which is the price my Godfather bought it at.

Its illegal to raise your price in this manor, both in Canada and the US. It has been for a very long time.

Consumer protection laws in both countries make it illegal to raise your price and relist something "on special" at a higher price for the sale. There are time limits in the law a company must wait for when raising a price before listing it on sale for a cheaper price.

Another law rarely enforced. Big Y, a local grocery chain, always raises its list price on items before it sells them as "buy one, get one free"
You just have to realize what they are doing.

Yes rarely enforced. Mainly cause no one complains to the Consumer Protection people of the government.

If a major retailer pulled a stunt like that over here, they'd be looking at a fine plus costs with at least four zeros after the number.
Smaller companies might get a zero knocked off.

After their first reply that they were forwarding the email to the "appropriate department" I got this today.
