The DOW used to have great elk harvest success rate charts for all the GMU's but I can't find them anymore ( haven't looked for a couple of years).

Does anyone know where to access these or some thing like them for the Summit county and surrounding Green Mountain Res area and the Meeker/Craig area GMU's?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin Miller

What I would like to know is how do they know how many are killed? There are no check stations and no reporting requirements in Colorado(except for bear and moose). Two years ago 4 of us hunted elk in Colorado and on the last day of Muzzleloader season right before dark my buddy killed a nice 5 by 6 .Well till we packed it out and returned to the motel where we were staying it was 2am. We got up at 8am and headed home to PA,talking to no one before we left. A couple of months later a woman from the colorado division of wildlife called my buddy saying that she heard that he was successful. He was dumfounded as they did not talk to any of the rest of our group, couldnt figure out how they knew.A little bit scary,do they have satelites watching everything? This year I killed a mule deer in Colorado and never heard anything,do they know about this also? Anybody have any ideas where they get their numbers?

Roklok,

I'd imagine the place you were staying at told them Razz

Using satalites to track someone isnt as easy as they make it seem in movies. It actually costs alot to use one even for very little time. Laughing

I wouldnt worry about it Rok. Smile
