I would like to know if anyone has any load information on 35gn. v-max bullets for the 223rem. I have been using BL-C(2) for 50gn. with fantastic resluts, but have no info on the lighter bullets. Thanks for any help.

Dont think there is any load info, These bullets are designed for use with the 22 Hornet. The velocity acheived with a 223 Remington will tear them apart as they leave the barrel.

I asked Hornady about using the 35 grain V-Max in the .223 and .220 Swift and they suggested using the loads for the 40 grain bullets.

Just a tidbit of thought on the 35 gr. Vmax...consider that their ballistic coiffient is like .100 (similar to a small mattress) and a 40 gr. Vmax has a BC of more than twice that. By 100 yds. the 40 will not only have more terminal energy but a much better trajectory as well.

Thanks for the info guys. I normaly use the 50gn. v-max, & have excellent results, & was thinking about trying something with the 35er. One fellow said with he 35 & 14gn. of blue dot, you had good range & acc. with noise in the rimfire range. Sounded good, but was just checking around for more opinions.
