My next project is to be a matched set of single shot target pistols in 45 Colt. I would like to build them as replicas of the Stevens tip-up 22 cal target pistols. I will upgrade the components for strength the larger caliber but I want these pistols to be true works of art.
I need to know where Ican find engineering drawings of these or similar pistols so I can place triggers and hammers in appropriate places and duplicate the look and feel of those wonderful old guns. Does anyone have any ideas where the drawings might be available? I have checked the Stevens website and they don't have any of that vintage - I have looked at my normal sources for older guns and although I can find pictures - I fail to find any engineering or shop drawings that are available.
So I am asking for help - do any of the users here have sources for dimensioned drawings of old break open pistols?

Oh man !! I had one of those tip up .22's !! Stolen a couple years ago .. I have some old drawings of firearms , dont know that they are the dimensional ones or not , will look and see if the Stevens is in there ..
Have you checked Numrich arms website ?? I believe they have dimensional drawings ..
Good Luck
