Looks like our military rifles are going to be going up in value. Obama has issued and executive order to ban the reimportation of military arms that we sold, gave or loaned to foreign governments. This is the same thing that happened last year when South Korea wanted to sell hundreds of thousands of M1 Garands, M1 Carbines and 1911s back to us.
Oh well, I cannot recall any reported criminal or gang use of an M1 Garand. The bad guys will still get guns. Law abiding citizens, collectors and target shooters will have to pay more to get some military arms. I guess we are all safer now. All the best...

Right on Gil, I bought my first Garand thru cmp years ago, had lotsa fun with that old Garand I bought my son one of them.

I got my M1 via the CMP also but failed to get my son one.

I would say that the domestic industry did some lobbying to protect new gun sales.
