I haven't heard of anyone that loads in 300 BLK mate...but hang around, there is bound to be someone on here who is familiar with the calibre.

Yo.. 300 Whisper here.. close enough..

JDJ make 300Whisper, bastardized by copiers to 300-221, then AAC call it 300 Blackout.

Mine is a
PTG 300-221 chamber in 18 inch MAB Barrel, on a CZ mini Mauser action..

Generally shot goats and pigs at 75 to 150 meters.
Reload with Redding 300-221 dies, AR2205, CCI primer and 240gn cast boolit.

Been thinking to enlarge the chamber to SAAMI 300 BLK for ease of cases making, but too lazy.

Frankh, do you have a 300 Blackout already or trying to learn about it?

Frankh, I do a lot with the 6.8mm but not .300 BKO. I'm sure there is a specialty forum just for the BKO where you can get some information. I see quite a few BKO guys switch over to the 6.8 for improved performance. Unless you want to shoot subsonic, the 6.8 is hard to beat in an AR platform.

TRBLSHTR, I tried Trail Boss in my .270 to shoot some 150gr pills this weekend. 20.0gr gave me 1590 fps. The bullet drop from 100 to 200 yards was jaw dropping! pretty quite without much kick, though.

@ FrankH, Quarterbore forum specialized on 300 Whisper (and thus 300 BLK)
www.quarterbore.net/fo...x.php?f=27
There you could can gather a bit more info for this cute caliber.
In Hunting Nut, I guess so far I am the only one that goes that direction.

Slim, 1590 fps? mate that shoots flat..
With subsonics down to 900 fps, now thats a rainbow trajectory for sure!!

LOL, gives me more appreciation for shooting that slow and the twist you need to stabilize the bullet.
